The Treasury Solutions and Development program at Leidos is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for a new opportunity we are pursuing. The place of work is in the Washington Metro Area with telework and onsite client work. In this mission we will work with our customer to implement application modernization projects in Enterprise Hybrid Multicloud environments.
Primary Assignments:
Activities include: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, operational performance analysis, and ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, analysis of alternatives, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.

Pay Range: Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree and over 8 years of prior relevant knowledge or Masters with over 6 years of prior relevant knowledge.
- Extensive experience in Microservice-based solutions, Cloud architecture, infrastructure assessment, and security/networking.
- Identify existing stored data needs and needs for new data stores interfaces.
- Over 3 years hybrid multicloud platform implementation.
- Over 7 years Enterprise Java development with lean and agile development methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL cloud database implementations
- Knowledge developing and deploying internal- and public-facing APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge and deploying applications with events-driven architecture.
- Familiarity modernizing and integrating with legacy software applications.
- Create and maintain critical system documentation.
- Be able to obtain a Public Trust MBI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Public Trust MBI clearance.
- Familiarity working in IRS infrastructure.
- Familiarity working in a large federal IT environment.
