JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Oversee the development of software systems relating to cyber defense, cybercrime (e.g., hacking) and personal data, and provide expertise in the design and development of cyber security systems utilizing Machine Learning and data-analytics software. Lead the development of Machine Learning and data-analytics software related to company-product for fraud detection. Oversee the development and adoption of BOT software for process automation using Machine Learning, Data Mining and Data Science techniques. Participate in department-specific and cross-departmental software design and development projects and produce documentation for code/software systems developed. Assist with the Information Assurance and Data Protection (IADP) department's migration to the Azure Cloud computational tools. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
• 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

• Also required is: 2 years of experience: in application development in a cloud environment, with a focus on Azure to develop and deploy web-based applications and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Azure Virtual Machines, Azure blob storage and Azure cosmos.db; developing applications in cloud services including Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud to develop web-based application; developing micro services and other containerized applications to handle different aspects of big data processing application including, importing data from different data sources, performing data quality checks on the data, performing ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) operation on the data, to load them to data warehouse, and moving processed data in data warehouse to several data sources using interfaces provided by these data sources for data integration; containerizing software application and microservices to run different services necessary for these applications to run inside docker containers; developing CI/CD pipelines using tools including GitHub Actions or Jenkins to build an automated software deployment pipeline for big data processing systems, as well as customer facing web-based software systems; developing and integrating different independent web-based software applications as well as backend services for big data processing, enabling these services and systems to communicate with each other using API interfaces and integrating them to run automated data processing pipelines for data movement between the systems, data processing and to handle other software requirements; developing big data application using Apache spark to develop backend services to perform large scale data processing for ETL operations; and developing data analytics application using Python, Linux.
• Employee reports to RELX Inc. office in Miamisburg, OH, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
• Experience can be concurrent.
