Sr. Tax Manager

One of our leading professional services clients is searching for a Senior Tax Manager in the South Bay Area. This is a newly created position and will collaborate with third-party providers and internal accounting personnel to ensure effective tax management. This role is hybrid. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $175,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Prepare quarterly and annual GAAP tax provisions, including related financial statement disclosures.
• Address income tax matters for both U.S. and Canadian operations.
• Handle return preparation and filings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Develop and recommend tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Evaluate and enhance tax-related controls and processes.
• Ensure adherence to regulations and jurisdictions.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 10+ years of tax experience, combination of public and industry roles
• CPA preferred
