Key job responsibilities
\tmanage ambiguity and collaborate with stakeholders
\tmanage the lifecycle of a complex cross-functional program with considerable impact
\taccountable for the overall strategy as well as driving teams inside and outside your organization to deliver
\tunderstand the systems in your product or program space, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions
\tensure business and technical stakeholder needs are aligned, you drive mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions
\tmake smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features)
\tpartner with customers and engineering teams to determine which projects move forward and in what priority order
\tuse your knowledge to assess development processes, test plans, and operations/maintenance requirements
\tstreamline and/or eliminate excess process
\tinfluence teams to decouple from dependencies and eliminate architecture problems that stifle innovation or cause user dissatisfaction, development collisions, and/or outages

A day in the life

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in the team, you will work with multiple teams to help solve complex technical solutions aimed to provide associates more choices for working preferred schedules, while also improving operational agility. You will have a direct influence on the technical design and implementation plan. You will work with multiple tech and business teams to build these complex solutions.

About the team

Workforce Solutions - Transformative Tech is a product/tech team focused on improving attendance, reducing attrition and increasing operational agility by offering hourly associates simple flexible scheduling options.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 3+ years of software development experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
