This role serves as the Technical Product Owner (TPO) for a software development team responsible for the core Cloud and On-prem Zebra Printer Connector (ZPC) including a legacy product, an emerging product and a product currently in the design phase. It includes Project Management development planning for 3-9 months in an agile manner. This position includes planning, scheduling and hosting all scrum ceremonies for at least one scrum team. CSPO and SAFe certifications are required.
This role reports to the director of Software Engineering for the Specialty Printer Group. Your peers are two principle engineers, a GCP consulting architect, and the manager of Software Engineering.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day productivity of the development team. Giving clarity and direction to sprints and stories is the primary need. You will answer developer questions, hold sprint planning, backlog grooming, standup, and story mapping sessions. You will be the Jira project owner for the teams you serve as Product Owner. You will handle sprint prioritization and scheduling as well as publish the work for the next 3-4 sprints. You will meet with external stakeholders who have requests of the team and keep the development team out of as many meetings as possible. You will attend senior level meetings and ensure any work discussed that affects the development team is captured as stories or follow up items. You will communicate completed work and highlight it with demonstrations. Finally, you are the development team advocate for workload and planning.

Requirements:
  • CSPO and SAFe certifications
  • 5+ years of applicable experience with Linux/UNIX systems in a production environment
  • Firm grasp of development methodology (SCM, build automation)
  • Some programming or scripting background
  • Understanding of basic network concepts such as HTTPS, TCP/IP and LB functionality
  • Detail oriented, self motivated, proactive, and accustomed to searching out best practices and solutions while adding to the team's knowledge
  • Demonstrative written and verbal communication skills to audiences with a wide variety of technical knowledge
  • Must collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues
