Responsibilities

Architecture & Design:

  • Lead the architecture and design of complex systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives
  • Develop detailed system specifications, design documents, and technical architectures to guide development teams
  • Ensure systems are designed with future scalability in mind, applying the latest industry best practices in architecture and design


Development & Implementation:

  • Design, develop, and implement system applications that align with organizational objectives and user needs
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and develop innovative solutions


Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously improve, optimize, and upgrade systems in alignment with evolving business needs and technological advancements
  • Respond to issues promptly, providing proactive solutions to improve system performance and reliability


Quality Assurance & Testing:

  • Conduct comprehensive unit testing to ensure high-quality system functionality, identifying and resolving inefficiencies
  • Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed expectations, upholding a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the work


Collaboration & Communication:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and management to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Take ownership of projects, communicating progress, risks, and solutions to ensure smooth and timely project delivery
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative environment where diverse ideas are valued, and knowledge sharing is encouraged
  • Mentoring junior engineers, fostering their growth through code reviews and architectural direction


Urgency & Meeting Timelines:

  • Act with urgency to address critical system issues and meet deadlines, ensuring minimal disruption to services
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality

  • Uphold a high level of professional integrity, ensuring all work is done transparently, ethically, and in compliance with company policies
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to doing what's right for the organization and its stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Staff Developer or similar role, with strong expertise in system architecture and design
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in system design and architecture
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
  • You are a Tech enthusiast
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, React js or Angular, MySQL. (15+ years of experience)
  • Strong knowledge of database management, network security, and cloud technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong ability to clearly articulate ROI for the business when making technical decisions
  • A strong sense of ownership in driving projects to completion, ensuring they are executed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to understand big picture to design solutions
  • Fintech background is preferred
