The Pharmacist shall be responsible for medication order entry, preparation and distribution for patients. The Pharmacist will help to ensure the appropriate prescription and administration of medications to patients within the institution. This position may have additional duties assigned as needed.Description

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred.
• PGY1 residency or 3 or more years of inpatient practice preferred.
• Valid and active RPH required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Alabama Controlled Substance certification required or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• BLS required. BPS certification preferred.
• Ability to accurately perform computer order entry duties.
• Proficient in needed pharmaceutical calculations and the metric system.
• Basic knowledge in pharmacokinetic calculations and parenteral nutrition management.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique.
• Evidence of commitment to continuing education.
