Job Description
Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Ambulatory Clinics - Orthopaedic Surgery
Job Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Experience: Two years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant field.
License: Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider or an AHA-approved equivalent within 3 months of hire.
Must-Have:
- Patient care
- Registered Nurse experience
- Phlebotomy and vascular skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records
Job Description:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an identified group of patients.
- Demonstrate competency in adult patient care delivery in ambulatory specialty clinics.
- Administer medications and provide telephone triage.
- Offer patient and family education and coordinate complex patient care needs.
- Utilize competencies such as telephone triage, vascular access, and care coordination.
- Perform teach-back methods, point-of-care testing, and manage procedure-specific instruments and equipment.
- Capability to perform focused or comprehensive nursing assessments in person or via telephone.
- Concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adapt from established nursing standards of practice.
- Collaborate with patients and their families during stressful situations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and fulfill other duties as assigned.
Note: This is not a float position, but may require floating to different locations if no needs are present in the clinic.
