Your Opportunity
Drive the next generation of Walmart retail systems platforms and services by conceptualizing, designing, building, and deploying highly scalable and robust SOA solutions. You will use your engineering experience and technical skills to materially affect how millions of orders are processed and fulfilled every day. Design high-performance and scalable solutions that meet the needs of millions of Walmart customers and its next-generation logistics system. Build solutions that enable sophisticated analytics on terabytes of data collected from various sources. Implement cutting-edge models and algorithms that operate on massive amounts of data. Develop high-performance and scalable solutions that extract, transform, and load big data. Help the team leverage and contribute to open-source technologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Your Responsibility
- Lead cross-functional teams spread across geography to deliver complex programs.
- Define, monitor, and improve critical-to-success metrics for the success of the program.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
- Plan and manage multiple parallel projects.
- Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
- Apply best practices to the software development life cycle for projects based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches, as well as effectively coordinating the implementations across teams using very different approaches.
- Interact with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders, and multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver complex features.
- Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies.
- Ensure consistent and transparent status updates with all stakeholders (engineering, business, product, leadership).
- Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools, and techniques to develop/plan, manage, or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion (e.g., on time, within budget).
- Measure project/program performance, operational performance, and portfolio performance.
- Identify, analyze, and map expected benefits to related programs and projects.
- Engage stakeholders, including downstream business owners, in the identification, execution, and sustainment stages of benefits realization management.
- Communicate benefits and learning back into the strategy planning cycle.
- Implement effective metrics to measure benefits and leverage these metrics in reports.
- Recommend improvements and drive alignment across teams.
- Serve as a coach and mentor within the organization.
- Coach and mentor the organization to facilitate adoption and maturity.
- Lead and influence others, including management, on best practices.
- Manage partnerships with external vendors.
- Ensure the following of Scrum and Kanban rituals as needed.
Your Qualifications
- An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS/PhD in any stream - Computer Science preferred.
- 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry.
- 12+ years of relevant work experience in internet-related program and/or technical program management in a software applications environment.
- Experience building processes, project management, and release schedules.
- Prior experience with agile methodologies and practices.
- A first-hand working knowledge of open stack technologies.
- Strong Java/Spark/Scala/Big Data development track record.
- A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Problem Solving.
- Understand the product and project management space.
- Experience across the product development SDLC.
- Preferably CSM/SAFe certified.
- Strong experience in Project Management Information systems, including but not limited to Jira and Confluence.
