Introduction
The Division of Enterprise Technology, Bureau of Security is seeking a candidate for their State Chief Information Security Officer! The CISO is responsible for security technologies across the enterprise in support of statewide operations on premises, in the cloud, and those in support of non-state organizations across Wisconsin. The position is responsible for maintaining collaboration and coordination within the department, with our partner state agencies, local governments, Wisconsin tribes, and educational entities. Position Summary
The State Chief Security Information Officer (CISO), Director for the Bureau of Security, reports to the division's Deputy Division Administrator and is responsible for the statewide security (i.e. cybersecurity) program while representing the State of Wisconsin among its peer state CISOs across the nation as the State of Wisconsin CISO. The CISO's role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and supporting security initiatives as a component of the department's oversight responsibilities for all state agencies. The CISO directs the planning and implementation of enterprise Information Technology (IT) security solutions in support of associated business operations and general defenses against security vulnerabilities.
The CISO is responsible for providing regulatory oversight of IT security. This oversight includes the development of enterprise-wide policy, standards, and procedures as guidance for compliance with federal laws, regulations, and sound security, data, and privacy practices. Additionally, the CISO is responsible for developing security program strategy and plans to ensure compliance and further enhance security practices across all state agencies, while aligning to Wisconsin's Strategic IT Plan. The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills, a knack for developing and maintaining professional relationships, and the ability to work with individuals at all levels within an organization. Additionally, the perfect candidate will have established relationships with other state or federal agencies/partners that provide insight and guidance around security best practices, challenges, and opportunities.

Salary Information
Starting hourly rate for the Information Technology Manager position will be between $43.91 - $69.33 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 70-01. A two-year trial period may be required. Current State employees will be compensated in accordance with the current State Compensation Plan.

Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.
All employees are expected to live and work in Wisconsin. - Leading large-scale change with change management and business process and managing several enterprise or company-wide level projects and demands.
- Personnel supervision and management over lower-level supervisors such as conducting performance evaluations, allocating resources, reviewing/assigning work, leading/motivating staff, etc.)
