Salary scale is $51.50-$60.00/hr. based on years of experience

Centurion is proud to be the provider ofmental health services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking aFull-TimeStatewide Ombudsman to join our Regional Office team in Columbia, Maryland.

The Statewide Ombudsman is responsible for serving as an intermediary between inmates/patients and the organization. This person provides neutral and confidential assistance to patients in order to ensure receipt of timely and appropriate healthcare services. They serve as an advocate and act as a liaison between patients and healthcare staff and supervise and ensure communication and check on inmates in specialized housing units.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed RN
• Experience with conducting interviews, reviewing documentation, and making determinations based on information collected preferred
• Medical terminology preferred
• One or more years of experience managing patient complaints, grievances in a community healthcare setting or third party setting
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
