Skills & Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Install, configure, and maintain storage hardware and software systems.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Responsible for volume distribution, maintenance, and secured data protection on virtual and physical servers.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for storage systems.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of storage systems with other infrastructure components.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
- Create and update documentation
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for storage-related issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in storage administration.
- Work closely with Vendors to address hardware issues and replacements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- IAT II or higher 8570/8140 Certification.
- Enterprise Storage Certification
- Proven experience of 10 years IT experience with 5 years in Storage Administration.
- Experience with cloud storage solutions.
- Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN) fabric technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks.
- Design experience is a plus.
- Hand-on experience with storage management tools and software.
