POSITION SUMMARY: Manages operations and activities of store and staff; executes company policies, procedures, and programs to meet or exceed sales and gross margin goals.

Average pay range : $80k- $110k

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates all store operations and personnel issues on a day to day basis in a manner that maximizes sales, profits, employee morale, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service by ensuring that service standards are high, investigating customer complaints, and developing methods to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Supervises freight process to ensure compliance to company guidelines and productivity standards.
  • Maintains interior and exterior store standards and merchandise presentation.
  • Ensures availability of merchandise by maintaining inventories.
  • Protects employees and customers by ensuring a safe and clean store environment.
  • Implements safety and best practices.
  • Maintains relationships with external vendors.
  • Contributes to team effort.
  • Develops and implements creative plans to increase store sales and decrease loss, provide recommendations to Executive Management on store strategy.
  • Maintains two-way communication with Executive Managers to stay abreast of company initiatives.
  • Prepares all necessary business reports and paperwork, including employee discipline forms.
  • Monitors and ensures adequate inventories.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Executives Managers.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directly supervises all store employees.
  • Supervises subordinate employees by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees, assigning employees to special assignments and tasks, and following up on all work results.
  • Sets employee work schedules and makes decisions regarding requests for time off.
  • Trains Sales Associates on sales techniques and monitors employees' sales performance.
  • Manages and responds to complaints and grievances from store employees.
  • Tracks productivity and efficiency of store staff for the purposes or recommending promotions or other job assignments.
  • Provides recommendations for hiring store employees.
  • Provides recommendations on discipline and firing of store employees.
  • Ensures that staff is fully trained and has a full knowledge of all products


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Two to four years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, human resources, and shrink reduction plans.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Basic competence in subordinates' duties and tasks.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Occasionally lift to 75 pounds with assistance to set up displays.
