Introduction/Job Purpose:

The Stormwater Permitting Section Manager administers statewide programs and supervises staff in functions related to the stormwater permitting programs for industrial, municipal and construction.

Job Duties:
Oversee the issuance of permits for industrial, construction and municipal storm sewer systems under the NPDES program
Provide oversight staff reviewing engineering plans and calculations for issuance of permits
Serves as the program contact for the permit tracking system. Utilizes reporting and other features of permit tracking system to assure program goals are met.
Provides assistance to internal staff, regulatory community and citizens on stormwater.
Represent the stormwater program in meetings, conferences and other activities. Participate in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) activities as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A master's degree in the natural or physical sciences, public health or related technical field and five (5) years of environmental experience; or a bachelor's degree in the natural or physical sciences, public health or related technical field and six (6) years of environmental experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
