Banesco USA is seeking an Strategic Data Analyst for our Strategic Planning Team. The Strategic Data Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the scorecards of the bank. This position must ensure that the scorecards are aligned with the strategic plan and the financial goals of the bank. The Strategic Data Analyst will review existing processes, determine efficacy of existing scorecard methodology, and provide feedback which will be used to maintain and continually innovate existing processes.

Strategic Data Analyst
Banesco USA is seeking an Strategic Data Analyst for our Strategic Planning Team. The Strategic Data Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the scorecards of the bank. This position must ensure that the scorecards are aligned with the strategic plan and the financial goals of the bank. The Strategic Data Analyst will review existing processes, determine efficacy of existing scorecard methodology, and provide feedback which will be used to maintain and continually innovate existing processes.
Primary Job Duties:
- Responsible for determining the KPIs the business units/positions will be measure.
- Understands mechanics of score-carding.
- Responsible for reviewing existing scorecard processes and creating new scorecards as the needs arise.
- Determines efficacy and accuracy of existing score-carding methods.
- Collaborates with the Human Capital department to determine market practice and compensation trends to ensure the bank maintains the competitiveness in variable compensation practices.
- Collaborates with the Human Capital department to determine market benchmark intel and align compensation practices.
- Ability to continuously seek improvements to align the strategy, growth and needs of the bank.
- Actively audits data to ensure there are no errors when calculating scorecards.
- Responsible to ensure the templates are accurate and formulating correctly based on the KPIs, methodology and compensation payouts.
- Responsible for documenting the mechanics of the scorecard and maintaining the procedures up to date.
- Responsible for communicating the methodology and how the scorecard works to the business units.
- Responsible for maintaining the formulas on how the data is calculated per scorecard.
- Works closely with our Business Intelligence team to create dashboards and ensure data integrity and accuracy of the scorecard results.
- Provides consistent and continuous feedback to management and human capital in improving processes and provide systematic and updated alignment goals.
- Navigates databases and accounting systems to extract data and populate models.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the Banking industry.
- Prior experience in Accounting, Finance, or Strategic Planning a must.
- Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Advanced skills and experience in scorecards and scorecarding methodology.
- Must speak English; bilingual English and Spanish a plus.
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with scorecard methodology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of internal customers.
- Intermediate knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
- Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures and policies ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures.
- Problem solving and analytical skills in order to identify problems.
