A Strategic Insights Manager (SIM) is a trusted advisor to CorVel customers. A SIM engages a customer at an executive strategic level. A SIM harnesses the power of CogencyIQ to deliver actionable insights to the customer to help mitigate risk and reduce their total cost of risk. A SIM does not replace the function of an account manager but supplements their activity with problem solving, benchmarking and scanning the marketplace. As a SIM you will administratively report to an Area Vice President or Regional Vice President with a dotted line to the Strategic Insights Leader.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • A SIM typically will be assigned one to four strategic accounts depending on their size, needs and complexity.
  • As a SIM you are expected to work closely with the Account Manager, Area Vice President, and CorVel Product Line Leaders to identify opportunities on the program. Typically, opportunities shall be identified through the analysis of the client's data, industry trends and benchmarking
  • Completes benchmark and industry studies for sales and account management
  • Monitors regulatory and legislative changes and provides analysis for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Presents findings and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Provides indirect leadership to managed care associates, claims, account management and sales
  • Participates as needed in RFP responses, analysis and prospect presentations
  • Collaborates closely with CogencyIQ team and business operations to assure client development needs are prioritized and made available to the broader organization

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated expertise in managed care services such as Network Utilization, Case Management, Bill Review and Pharmacy Benefit Management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced understanding of Excel
  • Leadership presence

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher or completion of the Institutes CPCU program with a preference that ARM and AIC designations are also achieved
  • A minimum of 15 years risk / TPA experience is required
  • A minimum of 5 of the 15 years must be in an operational or account management leadership position
  • Functional expertise is expected in workers' compensation, auto and general liability and disability management
  • Experience in commercial property and International claims adjudication is a plus

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $97,019 - $163,027
