Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
The Partnerships team seeks new opportunities for Google's expanding product and service portfolio. Within the Canadian Market, you will be at the forefront of this effort, engaging with both internal and external partners to identify and implement strategies for growth utilizing Google's Shopping and Payments products.
In this role, you will be leading business development and product go-to-market strategies for Google Payments and Shopping across the entire Canadian Market, engaging with Financial Institutions/Fintechs, Processors, Networks, Merchants and Merchant Enabling Partners.
You will be Collaborating with Product and cross-functional teams to validate product-market fit, contribute to the development of next-generation Shopping and Payment products, and define the overall go-to-market approach for Canada. This will culminate in launching key partnerships necessary to realize Google's commerce goals in the Canadian Market.
You will be experimenting, adjusting strategies, pivoting and navigating complex organizations and collaborating across Product Areas to develop innovative solutions for partners business tests.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience at a Bigtech, FI/Fintech, Commerce platform company in the Commerce related space.
- Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
- Experience working in a self-sustaining, fluid, and collaborative environment.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.

- Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage partnerships with entities of all sizes.
- Develop cross-product area tactical partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
- Ideate and drive complex agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
- Serve as the relationship manager for existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
- Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
