Summary:

HII Mission Technologies is looking for a Strategic Policy Analyst (Strategic Planner 2) to join our team supporting DoD missions with our team at USCENTCOM in Tampa, FL.

What You Will Do:

Identifies longer-term objectives and strategic plans for military headquarters, corporation or major division by highlighting internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth, profitability, or overall effectiveness. Observes environment for business opportunities, maintains surveillance over relevant market, and may perform analysis to support operational shifts. Supports team with development and monitoring products looking at profitability, productivity, and growth targets. Team products may also recommend strategic objectives and alternatives, and support and maintain implemented strategic and operational plans. When directed, plans and coordinates operational reviews, resource allocations, organization structures, and strategic analysis. Candidates for this position should, independently and as part of a team:
  • Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize, organize, manage, and execute high-level analysis on strategic /operational planning/issues related to the USCENTCOM.
  • Understand regional issues impacting national and military strategy with the USCENTCOM area of operations (AOR) and analyze national-level policies.
  • Summarize analysis in digestible briefings for senior leadership and VIPs (military or civilian) speaking to capabilities, operations, and requirements
  • Cultivate professional relationships to enable USCENTCOM planning and event synchronizing with partner military and civilian organizations.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Clearance - Must possess and maintain a TS-SCI clearance
  • Writing Sample Required


Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working at a major command, combatant command, or service-level headquarters required; experience with/in the USCENTCOM AOR preferred.
  • Ability to rapidly synthesize date received from discussion into documents to include talking points, information papers, and strategic planning documents.
  • Ability to develop briefing documents and other modes of strategic communications for senior military and civilian DoD leadership.
  • Familiarity with key national security documents, including the National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, National Military Strategy, and Unified Command Plan.
  • Proficient research and analytical skills
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
