As a member of regional operations team, work closely with the Director of Strategy and the Operations leadership team to deliver insightful and company-leading analyses of IHG, the regional, markets, segments, and competitors required to evolve and drive execution of IHG's global and regional strategy to achieve our growth ambitions.

Use rigorous analytical and financial modeling skills to construct frameworks and business models to support the creation of long range plans, analyze key issues facing the company, and recommend answers to complex business questions that enable long-term revenue and profit growth.

Your day to day
  • Assist Director of Strategy and Head of Performance, Strategy, Projects, and Analytics with annual business planning process and tracking of performance metrics to deliver base plan and key growth initiatives
  • Enable strategy team members and project leaders to deliver the highest value growth initiatives by providing analytical support, problem insight, and elements of project management
  • Build/maintain appropriate financial models to support planning and analysis work, including work from previous consulting engagements, work developed from other members of the global strategy team, and data sources from elsewhere in the organization
  • Conduct strategic analyses on high priority strategic issues to support regional Operations teams and the Performance, Strategy, Projects, and Analytics team members
  • Develop presentations to support strategy discussions by Americas Operations and Commercial leadership, regional leadership team, and occasionally group Executive Committee and Board of Directors
  • Maintain/integrate/leverage current information sources of competitor intelligence and industry trends, including ongoing analysis leading to new insights for senior management

What we need from you
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Finance or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • 5-6+ years in progressive work experience in strategy, consultancy, or finance, or 2-4 years corporate level experience with exposure to a broad range of strategy issues. Previous travel industry experience is desirable but not required.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to analyze markets, performance data, and business issues and draw insight/conclusions
  • Rigorous financial modeling/analysis (DCF, NPV, accounting) and basic finance principles
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to build relationships across business units for collaboration, data requests, and joint analysis
  • Familiarity and proactive identification of external data sources and ability to manipulate them to reach necessary conclusions
  • Ability to work in global function with "virtual" network of members in Singapore and London
  • Understanding of hotel industry dynamics and economics desirable but not required
  • High degree of accountability and personal responsibility
  • Interest in longer-term career progression within strategy team and within broader IHG
  • Able to gain credibility with executives and senior managers in the organization
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to plan time/priorities

Location - Atlanta, GA; Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.

The salary range for this role is $58,834.00 to $111,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus pay (as applicable). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
