SUMMARY
The Structural Engineer-Entry Level will assist the Project Manager in project planning and design, with a focus on meeting essential deadlines and fostering effective collaboration among project team members and various design disciplines. This individual will be a valuable member of a dynamic team dedicated to a diverse portfolio of projects that encompass planning, design, and engineering services in both solar and utility fields. The Structural Staff Engineer will report directly to the Project Manager.
The position is located in Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $74,000 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of structural designs and drawings of solar related foundations and support structures
- Assist in project specification research, determine applicable building codes, and ensure specific project requirements are addressed in design
- Apply department and relevant standards to prepare calculations and drawings in accordance with project specifications
- Coordinate with internal multi-disciplinary teams to address structural-related issues or concerns
- Provide drafting support in AutoCAD in the production of the structural design plans
- Driven and cast-in-place deep foundation design and inspection
- Perform pile design, foundation design, and construction quality control
- Apply geotechnical and corrosion recommendations in design
QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-3 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in a civil/structural engineering program from an ABET accredited four-year college or university program.
- Preferred master's degree with a structural emphasis
- Ability to utilize spreadsheets, databases, word processing and computer operations
- Working knowledge with codes including: IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, PCI, NDS
- You have working knowledge and skills in: AutoCAD, MS Office, MathCad, Risa 3D, or other FEA, RISA Foundation and LPile or similar
