The Role

We have an immediate opportunity for a Building Envelope Associate to join our rapidly growing team. This individual will participate in and oversee design consulting for new construction and support investigations of existing building envelopes. We offer a range of services for the full building life cycle with the goal of helping clients execute an ambitious and sustainable architectural vision. Our consulting services include materials research, specialty analyses, detailed design, engineering and construction support. In the technology-driven industry, innovation comes with the territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage building envelope and curtain wall consulting projects and work directly with clients.
• Analyze faade performance with specialized software (i.e. loading, thermal analysis, condensation risk, geometry).
• Research materials and systems to determine specific project suitability.
• Attend construction meetings, perform site inspections, and prepare field reports for the client.
• Independently conduct assessments of building envelope
• Observe and document testing protocols
• Design Repairs and oversee contract document preparation (drawings and specifications).
• Manage and mentor other design team members
• Perform peer reviews of architectural design and condition assessments, including order of magnitude cost estimating
• Support business development efforts; and develop and maintain client relationships.

Requirement

• Degree in Architecture or Engineering
• Building Envelope background in new and existing construction.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
