Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of IT Systems, the Student Lifecycle Systems Lead coordinates the identification of system requirements and functional design specification to support the student journey through TCC systems. The role will work flexibly and independently across Institutional boundaries, including IT Services, Administrative and Support Services, Student Affairs and Academic areas support teams and units in the use of ERP and student systems to develop and improve business processes through their effective use of the systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements
- Analyzes and interprets information from a wide variety of sources to understand business challenges and identify and deliver appropriate change
- Keeps up to date with policies and procedures for student administrative processes
- Plans and leads the implementation of new processes and systems, including ongoing process review and associated documentation
- Produces and communicates relevant updates and briefings on developments related to systems and processes; tracking and amending documents and manuals as necessary
- Collaborates with colleagues to identify and scope change requirements, leading project groups and cross-department developments
- Collaborates with Testing and Quality Assurance staff to ensure extensive and detailed testing of new developments, upgrades, and enhancements
- Creates and updates communications, training, and documentation to support changes to operational activities and procedures
- Influences and persuades colleagues to adjust practices and requirements to achieve operational and systems efficiency
- Remains aware of, and responds to, a changing policy environment; proactively advising senior managers of change requirements as appropriate
- Maintains and develops excellent working relationships with key vendor staff and contacts at a range of levels, always working in partnership with colleagues in IT Services and other internal stakeholders
- Implements and manages processes to gather feedback on systems use and liaise with vendors and IT Services to initiate innovation and change
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) years' working experience with technical systems
- Two (2) years' experience working with Higher Education Student Information Systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- At least two (2) year's working experience planning and leading the implementation of new processes and systems related to ERP Student Information Systems (SIS) or CRM
- At least one (1) year's working experience leading ERP and CRM implementations within large, complex, multi-campus and/or College systems of higher education
- At least (1) year's working experience with analyzing, evaluating, and designing solutions to meet security / compliance requirements impacting Student Information Systems (SIS)
- At least one (1) year's working experience leading testing enhancements and bug fixes; coordinating user acceptance, and regression and integration testing
- At least one (1) year's working experience analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting sensitive and complex data
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and the ability to resolve user issues in a daily support capacity
- Knowledge of the Higher Education sector and an awareness of future challenges the sector may face
- Knowledge of student recruiting, admissions, and administrative processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Student Information Systems and other systems integrated into the student lifecycle, including the underpinning technical infrastructure of Student Information Systems and construction of a student record (or equivalent)
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
- Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, Visio, and presentation software
