Under general supervision, this position plays a critical role in supporting and leading the student rights and responsibilities district wide, training and development of faculty, staff and student case management process, behaviors of concern and conduct. The position is responsible for leading responses and the adjudication process for student conduct cases and restorative interventions, where applicable. This position provides workshops, training, and interventions to educate students, faculty, and staff about student rights and responsibilities, as well as leading and/or co-leading the district wide behavior intervention team, including training of team members and administrative management of referrals and conduct cases. This position works closely with, but not limited to, Police and College Safety, Title IX, Student Services divisions, and the Office of Instruction.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Oversight and leadership for the student conduct process including but not limited to from the intake of student conduct complaints to the appeals process.
- Investigates necessary information related to student code of conduct cases by speaking with all parties and witnesses involved and collecting and synthesizing evidence.
- Develops investigative reports to summarize and analyze findings. Provides an analysis of evidence in student conduct cases to determine if violations occurred and success of students involved in the student rights and responsibility process.
- Ensures adherence with district policy timelines, student rights, and disciplinary procedures.
- Presents student, faculty, and staff training related to student judicial affairs, student conduct, and academic integrity.
- Provides case management and student follow-up to ensure restorative and educational interventions are successful
- Recommends and administers disciplinary and educational interventions.
- Maintains detailed student conduct records in student conduct database, includes and not limited to, data entry regarding student contact cases to track the status of cases, determinations and run reports.
- Communicates directly with students throughout the conduct process; this includes but is not limited to informing students of conclusions of investigations as well as sanctioning.
- Coordinates and facilitates appellate hearing processes, responsible for training and identifying hearing panel members
- Develops and implements restorative justice practices
- Provides leadership and training to student organization advisors, faculty, and staff related to student conduct.
- Develops educational and outreach programs in collaboration with the Title IX Coordinator, Health Services, Mental Health Counseling, and various stakeholders across the district.
- Serve as chair and member of Pasadena City College's Crisis Prevention and Response Team.
- Establishes program goals to achieve desired student learning outcomes related to student conduct, rights and responsibilities. Develops reports that assess programs/services of the Student Rights & Responsibility Office.
- Develops and maintains efficient office procedures to ensure fair, consistent, and timely response to and resolution of allegations of violations of college standards of conduct
- Directly manage all aspects of employee lifecycle including recruitment, transfers, suspensions, layoffs, recalls, promotions, terminations, task assignments, performance evaluations, rewards, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolution, ensuring adherence to District policies and legal requirements.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree OR equivalent experience in Higher Education, Communication, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience in higher education student affairs division, student conduct, student life/affairs advising, or counseling setting.
