Job Description

Hybrid: Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Solicits/reviews supplier proposals, develops evaluation criteria, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, develops subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Statuses and manages supplier deliveries, coordinates material receipts and manages resolution of issues related to contractual requirements and resolves invoice issues. Develops subcontracts and subcontract files, coordinates work requirements with the Product team, and defines terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, services and participates in Zero Defect initiatives with suppliers.

A successful candidate must be able to be an effective communicator internally and externally at all levels and in a fast-paced environment, build mutually beneficial relationships, be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related subcontracts/procurement experience in aerospace & defense, or 6 years of related subcontracts/procurement experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with subcontract administration or procurement related activity
  • Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations and the understanding of the role of procurement in complex industries
  • Familiarity with a large, complex multifaceted electronics design & manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity of FAR and DFAR regulations and of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation)
  • Understanding of subcontractor solicitations and bid analysis/process
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook)
  • DoD Secret clearance eligible


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field
  • Desire for continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system
  • Technical background (ability to read drawings, understand technical architecture)
  • Active secret clearance
