Manages and is accountable for planning, organizing, and managing co-curricular and extracurricular activities; provides instructional leadership; manages staffing, student registration, internal and external communication, community relations, safety and security, and the administrative duties necessary to guide instructional programs. The principal will receive a summer supplement, determined by the budget, that aligns with the assigned program.
Qualifications
Must be a current FCPS employee; Postgraduate Professional License and endorsement as a school principal or in administration and supervision of preK-12, with five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or leadership, required. Principal or assistant principal at the middle or high school level, preferred. Knowledge of teaching theory and methods; excellent communication skills; strong ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate school staff program, and services; ability to develop effective working relationships with central office personnel, staff, parents,
community, and the general public.
