Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage night shift operations while ensuring site safety.
  • Directly supervise union tradespeople, equipment, and subcontractors on-site.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, public, and project personnel.
  • Lead project planning, including schedules, equipment needs, trade assignments, lift plans, and safety plans.
  • Foster an effective Safety culture on site.
  • Ensure critical project information is accurately communicated to day shift teams.
  • Adhere to labor and production schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications for quality control and compliance.
  • Develop and submit one-week and three-week look-ahead schedules, using the baseline CPM schedule.
  • Comply with documentation requirements of the company and client.
  • Complete daily reports, documenting workforce hours, equipment usage, completed work, and other key activities.
  • Ensure all work meets QA/QC specifications and is completed to the highest standards.
  • Regularly assist in reforecast of remaining work and schedule.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil, utility, or highway and bridge projects valued at $5M - $100M.
  • Four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy civil construction means and methods.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with teams, clients, and the public.
  • Track record of positive safety record and evidence of prioritizing Safety on past projects.
  • Experience in Traffic coordination, Bridge, Accelerated Bridge, DOT, Railroad, Utility, or Water Facility projects.
  • Project history submission required with resume.
