Qualifications
The Stafford Board of Education invites outstanding candidates to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools.

This collaborative, dynamic individual will possess the following personal and professional characteristics:

• A strong background in staff and curriculum development, instructional improvement, and personnel administration
• Ability to articulate a vision of academic excellence that is shared and supported by the community
• A management style which stresses participation, performance and accountability
• Ability to develop and manage the district's budget with an emphasis on transparency
• The ability to speak and write with clarity, articulate a compelling vision and inspire others to work toward it
• Immersion and visibility in the community
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Successful experience as an administrator; 3 - 5 years of district level experience preferred
• Hold or be eligible for Connecticut certification as a Superintendent of Schools (093)

Terms of Employment
The successful candidate will be offered a contract including a full benefits package and a starting salary ranging from $183,000 - $195,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
