Superintendent

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in concrete tilt-wall and ground-up construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing large-scale retail projects, with a focus on bringing complex builds. This role requires a proactive and skilled leader who can ensure on-time, high-quality project completion, coordinate teams and subcontractors, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Willingness to travel within North Carolina is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead and oversee all phases of tilt-wall and ground-up construction projects, managing site operations from initial site work through project closeout.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards, maintaining compliance with project specifications, company standards, and local building codes.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating subcontractors, materials, and personnel to meet critical project milestones.
• Site Safety Management: Enforce site safety protocols, ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations, and promote a safe work environment for all employees and subcontractors.
• Subcontractor Management: Communicate regularly with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring they meet the required standards and project timelines.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress photos, and as-built records, reporting project status to project management and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve field issues efficiently, adapting plans as needed to overcome project challenges and maintain progress.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, facilitating effective communication between clients, project teams, and company leadership.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on large-scale concrete tilt-wall and ground-up projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of concrete tilt-wall construction methods, ground-up building techniques, and associated materials.
• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex construction schedules, budgets, and resources with a strong focus on meeting project deadlines.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Safety Focused: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe job site, with experience implementing and enforcing safety standards and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
• Certifications: OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel across North Carolina as project needs dictate.
