Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position in Patient Accounts is primarily to provide leadership for CFB, Audits, Billing Issues and Timely Filing Management. Responsible for, working with different teams to help reduce timely filing denials and write-offs and increase collectability. Review Billing/Claims and other services areas to ensure that claims are billed timely.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Audit, CFB and Billing
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The identification of essential functions below is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties that may be assigned to this position, nor does it restrict the duties which may be assigned to the position within the revenue cycle process.
Provide supervision for Patient Accounts CFB, Audits, Billing units.
Provide assistance to the Patient Accounts Manager as needed.
Provide weekly reports and analysis on timely filing write offs and CFB.
Participate in meetings with local departments and with Central Office Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) team.
Coordinate Patient Accounts AR Vendor response process.
Serve as Audit liaison with HIM and Case Management.
Monitor and evaluate staff performance according to establish standards and performance metrics.
Interact with other departments to financially secure accounts
Refer accounts requiring escalation to Patient Accounts Manager in a timely manner
Attend all necessary training sessions to effectively perform the day-to-day functions of the position
Perform all other duties as assigned by Management
Minimum Qualifications
Six months of service in the title of Senior Hospital Care Investigator.
