Description:
The Supervising Pharmacist is an important part of the pharmacy operations that forms a key role in ensuring the effective and compliant operation of PRO-Spectus' Pharmacy operations.
This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory and operational efficiency pharmacy operations. Additionally, the role engages in clinical and case management support to both improve patient outcomes and serve as a subject matter expert to assist in securing coverage for program patients. This position will involve supervision of immediate pharmacy staff, inventory, and successfully supporting technology solutions while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation to support superior patient care delivery.
This is a fully onsite position in Addison, TX.

The salary/hourly range for this position is $140,000 - $150,000 annualized salary, based on experience and qualifications, with the final offer reflecting skills and other job-related factors. Core Duties/Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations:
- Responsible for adhering to all relevant state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Dispensing Pharmacy Operations.
- Responsible for the day-to-day assistance with ensuring the timely processing and review of prescription orders/referrals to assist the case management team with patient intake.
- Responsible for maintenance of licensure of Texas Pharmacy Permit and assist in the process of acquisition and maintenance of additional facility and personal state licensures across all 50 states.
- Lead in additional state pharmacy licenses and P&P generation for pharmacy to convert to dispensing operations, if necessary.
- Assist in the development of dispensing pharmacy operations and additional regulatory/compliance standards, as required.
- Assist in creation of pharmacy technician training program.
- Lead in the training and development of pharmacy support technicians.
- Assist in the implementation and upkeep of relevant pharmacy systems and integrations into the pharmacy management system to ensure a highly efficient intake process.
- Assist in the triage of prescriptions transfers to relevant stakeholders to ensure a timely delivery of patient care.
- Assist in the implementation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) integrations into the pharmacy management system to provide additional support to case management teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal stakeholders.
Clinical Support:
- Engage in relevant clinical programs to ensure positive patient outcomes and successful support of partner programs.
- Engage in direct patient counseling and interventions to support clinical programs.
- Assist in the development and/or implementation of clinical programs.
- Review and provide relevant clinical candor and evidence-based responses to case management team when supporting the appeals or Letters of medical necessity drafting.
- Engage in relevant research to support medical policy initiatives.
- Serve as an important, integrated member of the PRO-spectus care support teams, keeping the patient as its focus.
Skills / Requirements
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication management, and regulatory requirements.

- Comfortable in using Microsoft Word, Excel and sharepoint.
Education, Certifications and Experience
- BS or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Active Texas pharmacy licensure in good standing. (Additional state licenses a plus.) o Willingness to obtain additional state licensures is required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Pharmacy Experience.
- Preferably 2+ years of pharmacy leadership experience.
- Experience in home infusion or oncology as plus (optional but preferred.)
- Board certification in pharmacotherapy or certified specialty pharmacy or other relevant specialty (optional but preferred).
