Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
  • Providing appropriate mid-level practitioner oversight and supervision at the Clinics listed in Exhibit A.
  • Attending quarterly meetings (or, monthly where required), virtually or in-person at locations specified by the Company (in-person required at least twice per year for TN providers), to review Quality Assurance data.
  • Co-signing at least twenty-percent (20%) of charts within thirty (30) days of patient visits and, in TN, reviewing/co-signing all charts involving controlled medications as required by applicable law.
  • Maintaining remote access to Company's Electronic Medical Records ("EMR") system.
  • Remain available for clinical questions from Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants during normal clinical hours.
  • Identifying and arranging for a qualified physician substitute/coverage in the event Thompson is not available to perform the Services.
  • Notifying the assigned Clinic of any changes in call or supervision coverage whenever Thompson requests coverage from Medical Director or another qualified supervising physician.
  • Periodically providing substitute supervision for other supervising physicians of the Company at their request.
  • Remaining knowledgeable of organization protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Providing an updated curriculum vitae annually.
  • Attending Behavioral Health team staff meetings, virtually or in-person, as reasonably requested by the Company.
  • Attending meetings with commercial health care insurers in the State, virtually or in-person, as reasonably requested by the Company.
  • Participating in the Company's Quality Assurance related training and education activities, virtually or in-person, as reasonably requested by the Company.


  • Experience Requirements and Preferences:

    • Basic Requirements:
      • Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

      AND
      • Experience: At least two years of experience working as a psychiatrist in a mental health setting


      Current License or Certification:
      • Valid/Active State Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine License in Tennessee
      • Valid/Active DEA Number for Tennessee
      • Valid/Active Board Certification in Psychiatry
      • Willingness to seek additional state licenses/DEA number
