The primary purpose and function of the Supervising Sr, Tax is to help lead the team that handles the Company's day to day direct tax compliance and planning to ensure timely tax reporting compliance, effective tax planning, assist in process improvements. The focus of this position is individual tax working directly with key stakeholders (Owner Doctors and Executives).

$116,000.00-$150,000.00 / Annually

The primary purpose and function of the Supervising Sr, Tax is to help lead the team that handles the Company's day to day direct tax compliance and planning to ensure timely tax reporting compliance, effective tax planning, assist in process improvements. The focus of this position is individual tax working directly with key stakeholders (Owner Doctors and Executives).
Responsibilities
- Assist with annual preparation of tax returns utilizing CCH Axcess.
- Ensure the compliance process is working to deliver the extension filings, year-end planning and quarterly estimated tax calculations.
- Maintain proficiency with respect to current tax laws and tax law changes including the ability to perform tax research.
- Research and memorandum writing skills are required to help document positions as well as correspond with key stakeholders.
- Help tax team monitor status of electronic filing of tax returns to ensure timely filing / acceptance by taxing authorities.
- Knowledge and experience of tax issues facing individuals, as well as having knowledge of C-Corps, S-Corps and Partnerships.
- Act as mentor, support, and assist in the development and training of staff.
- Bring forth ideas to improve processes and materials.
- Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policy.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 or more years of experience related to individual tax work. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience is required.
- Experience managing and coaching others.
Preferred
- CPA or EA license
- JD or Master's degree, 4 or more years of tax experience.
