Position Overview:
Effectively supervises and coordinates the overall management of activities of the pharmacy technicians including scheduling, training, coaching and counseling, and performance evaluations, thus ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of work is maintained within the pharmacy and the various satellite pharmacies within the hospital or across retail pharmacies. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure continuity of services provided by the pharmacy technicians.
Less than 50% of time spent on average is performing the duties of the individuals being supervised.

Pay Range is $40.25 to $60.38 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- Other: Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician
- PHARMC-Certified Pharmacy Technician.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of recent relevant Experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations relating to the practice of Pharmacy.
- Knowledge of basic dosing information. Basic arithmetic and algebra.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows environment with moderate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
