AFRL/PZL seeks to hire a DO-1102-03 Supervisory Procurement Analyst to serve as the Chief of the Acquisition Policy and Support Branch.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Plans and organizes the activities of the Acquisition Policy and Support Branch.
- Ensures resource requirements comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and procurement objectives.
- Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building and implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements.
- Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs.
- Provides supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- Represents the Contracting Division with a variety of organizations.
- Provides and ensures that subordinates provide customer guidance and training.
- Participates in special projects and initiatives, and performs special assignments.
- Researches and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact the Division.
- Performs a broad and extensive range of procurement/contract analysis to determine adequacy, both legal and administrative, of clauses included in the contract.
- Consults with Staff Judge Advocate's office and HQ AFMC/JA on unusual contracts or clauses and obtains coordination of such office, as necessary.
- Furnishes advice on specific procurement problems referred by Director, Deputy Director, Branch and Section Chiefs.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited school
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
- Drug testing is required
- File annual financial disclosures (OGE 450) to ensure there are no conflicts of interest in the performance of these duties
- One (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (DO-02 or equivalent). Examples of specialized experience include: Leading teams in determining appropriate method of procurement using a wide range of contracting methods and contract types; preparing final contract to include appropriate standard clauses and special provisions, final pricing and payment terms, and incentives; or executing post-award contract performance management actions on assigned contracts.
