Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier''s systems, processes and products. Documents and reports audit and assessment results. Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers. Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work. Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives. Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.

Inspection and verification of products for compliance with requirements. Resolves routines issues and concerns.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Plans, organizes and conducts audits/assessments of supplier's systems, processes, and products
  • Documents and reports audit/assessment results
  • Performs product verification to assess compliance to applicable requirements
  • Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work
  • Investigates and resolves concerns to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity
  • Performs data analysis to determine engagement strategy at suppliers
  • Reports status of supplier performance
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage daily assignments
  • Participates in Program and Production Readiness Reviews at suppliers

HS/GED required, applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

5+ years of experience in quality and/or manufacturing processes and organizations

5+ years of experience with monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.

5+ years of experience with working root cause and corrective action analysis and implementation of acceptable preventative action

Experience with project management and project leadership supporting cross-functional teams.

Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

10+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to work in fast-paced, challenging environment

Strong supplier quality development background

Knowledge of project management best practices and processes

Experience developing supplier improvement plans and strategies, providing training, and coaching

Extensive knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145

Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures)

Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization

Lean or lean six sigma experience (leading or co-leading teams with value stream mapping and shop floor standard work events)

Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
