Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain III is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and distribution of equipment and parts, in addition to the supervision of warehouse staff.

  • This is a salary, exempt position. Salary range is $100,000 to $140,000 based on experience.
  • The schedule is Monday - Friday, from 6 am to 5 pm.


Essential Functions
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe and efficient work procedures.
  • Supervise and train supply chain employees, including reinforcement of policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to close operational and mechanical gaps and maintain clear, and concise communication.
  • Optimize warehouse functions and monitor logistics to make sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Manage inventory levels and warehouse operations.
  • Handle communications and negotiations with suppliers.
  • Create strategies that increase efficiency and speed.
  • Proactively resolve issues that may arise (e.g. delays in deliveries, wrong parts, people management).
  • Manage all logistics for supplies, equipment, and parts.
  • Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure stock is placed neatly on shelves and that material status is identifiable.
  • Source and procure parts and supplies.
  • Pick up and return parts and other supplies from vendors.
  • Deliver parts and supplies to Mine and Exploration sites for drill crews as needed.
  • Safely operate a forklift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following all housekeeping requirements.
  • Maintain effective and collaborative workplace relationships, treating others with dignity and respect.


Qualifications
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug, and alcohol screen, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and additional background screening as required by regulation and/or industry practice.
  • Three (3) plus years experience in purchasing, warehouse, inventory control, and logistical experience required.
  • Ability to understand internal inventory management and identify improvement opportunities required.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills required.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel required.
  • One (1) year experience in a leadership, or supervisory role required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction/support as well as with a group and with a variety of levels of management.
  • Ability to personally handle heavy wrenches, lift and/or carry heavy tools or supplies (up to 100 lbs.)
