Program Management - Subcontract Manager
What You Will Be Doing Manage subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs. Direct and
manage all costs, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and are required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system. Develop sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs and execution. Act as the main focal point to the subcontractor and
program management office.
Responsibility for and direction of all phases of the subcontract; from initiation of the business case for "make or buy" decisions through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability and program execution.
Make decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor. Establish milestone objectives and manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
Lead team normally composed of engineers, quality and procurement personnel.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or
university
Experienced supply chain management professional who has led complex subcontract / PO negotiations and solved complex issues associated with subcontract execution
Experience collaborating effectively across multiple functional areas.
Experience leading teams or projects
Experience collaborating and communicating
cross-functionally, building consensus and shaping/influencing opinion
Advanced Microsoft Office suite of applications
Experience leading teams and teaching/mentoring personnel how to procure and manage subcontracts.
Travel and manage supply base to include up to 10% travel
Desired skills
Experience as a strategic thinker with regard to the procurement process and the state of the IFG & AMMM programs (F-16, F-22, and C-130) along with the F-35 program in order to identify risks and proactively mitigate said risks.
Experience in Proposal and Capture activities
Knowledge of FAR/DFARs and DoD procurement
policies and practices
Professional communicator and a team leader; as this person will be responsible for building great relationships with supplier leaders, LM Aero counterparts, and some SPO (customer) personnel.
Advanced Project management experience, to
execute complex project planning
Create solutions for complex procurement challenges and present those solutions to senior management and customers

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
