Desert Valley Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Surgical Physician Assistant to join our surgical team. The role involves supporting surgical services by providing consults, assisting in the operating room (OR), and managing patient care during assigned call coverage.

Call Commitment: Minimum of 14 days/month of 24-hour call coverage
Primary Responsibilities:
First assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties
Perform patient consultations and evaluations
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care
Team Collaboration: Work closely with attending physicians, OR staff, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care.
Growth Opportunity: Gain hands-on experience in a busy community hospital with a variety of cases.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA Certification required
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of California
Prior surgical first-assist experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
