Job Description
Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Specialty: CVOR Tech
Job Duration: 25 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist in a large hospital with Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
License: High school diploma or GED, graduated from an accredited surgical technologist school or equivalent military training, or 10+ years of experience as a Surgery Technician
Certifications: BLS certification
Must-Have: Strong endovascular experience with competence in general and orthopedic surgery
Job Description:
- Prepare the operating room and gather necessary supplies for surgical procedures.
- Deliver instruments to the surgeon and other surgical team members during procedures.
- Function as a second assistant to the surgeon when needed.
- Assist in the proper decontamination of the room, supplies, and instruments post-operatively.
- Experience scrubbing in a variety of cases, including endovascular, general, and orthopedic procedures.
- Familiarity with service lines such as gynecology, general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, and trauma is required.
- Share vascular call responsibilities for one-third of the month as discussed with the manager.
- Participate and complete pre-start modules as required.
Additional Information:
- Locker and scrubs will be provided.
- Applicants must reside more than 100 miles from the central facility location to be eligible.
- RTO requirement: Maximum of 5 days.
Candidates should be prepared for potential float responsibilities and adhere to compliance standards for travel.
