Job Title: Surgical Technician
Job Specialty: Ortho/Neuro/Spine/Davinci OR Surgical Technician
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day/Afternoon, 8, 12-hour shifts, including 2-8's/2-12's, with weekly call and occasional holidays/weekends
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years in OR with strong Ortho (total knees/hips), Neuro, strong trauma, and robotics experience.
License: Required, willing to wait for processing
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Must-Have:
- Strong experience in Ortho (total knees/hips)
- Strong experience in Neuro and trauma
- Robotics experience
- Ability to respond within 30 minutes when on call
Job Description:
- Work in a Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 Poly Trauma response.
- Handle all service lines including major ortho, joints, spines, sports medicine, and trauma.
- Assist in neuro surgeries including cranial and spinal procedures.
- Participate in Xi Robotics surgeries such as surgical oncology, urology, and gynecology (training available).
- Participate in a bariatric program.
- Assist in ENT surgeries, including head & neck free flaps & reconstruction, and basic ENT cases.
- Assist in ophthalmology procedures including retina, cataracts, and oculoplastics.
Additional Information:
- The Adult Heart Team and Pediatric Heart Team are located in a separate area.
- Kidney transplants are handled by a separate team.
- Orientation sessions occur every two weeks.
- Charting uses EPIC systems.
- Scrubs provided for OR duties.
