Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Tech
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days, plus call
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Required for submission
Certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), ACLS
Must-Have: Experience handling open heart procedures and working in a general operating room
Job Description:
- Work as part of the CVOR team, integrated within the general operating room.
- Perform cases including CABG, vascular, and lung procedures.
- Participate in general, orthopedic, urology, and ENT cases when not engaged in cardiovascular cases.
- Surgical scrubs are provided; no personal scrubs required.
- Comply with a 15-minute call response time.
- Participate in shifts starting at 0700, with block scheduling available from Monday to Friday.
- Call responsibilities include a combination of nights and weekends, totaling 10-15 days per month, along with holiday call requirements as needed.
- Collaborate with a manager and charge nurse daily; however, the charge nurse does not take an assignment.
- Use the Epic charting system for electronic medical records.
