Job Summary:

As a Sustaining Engineer Manager, you and the team you oversee will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing products within the connector industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and performance. Your role will involve troubleshooting, implementing design changes, and supporting manufacturing processes to enhance product life cycle and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:
  • Product Maintenance: Monitor and analyze product performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to resolve product issues, working with quality assurance and manufacturing teams
  • Design Changes: Develop and implement design modifications to improve product reliability and performance
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design changes, test results, and product performance data
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, quality assurance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product updates and improvements
  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries and technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Compliance: Ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements


Required Skills:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Creo software, knowledge of connector design and manufacturing processes, and familiarity with industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with FMEA GD&T & RCCA
  • Experience with tight tolerance injection molded product
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards

Experience:
  • 5+ years experience in product sustaining engineering, preferably in the connector industry

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
