Role and Responsibilities

The SVP of Retail Operations/Division will lead all operational aspects of the US Strategic Retail including special events retail, store design and implementation, and innovation. This leader is a strategic operator, with expertise in developing and overseeing transformations as well as field with operational experience as an omni-channel retailer. They will have the ability to develop a strong team, drive change in a complex organization, generate significant impact through strategic and tactical direction, and deliver results.

This position will report directly to the SEA CEO and play a critical role in achieving strategic/operational/financial goals.

This executive will build uniquely strong relationships with our internal stakeholders as well as across all of the Retailers we sell through at all levels.

Position Objective
  • Leadership: Lead and develop a growing retail leadership team to ensure they are delivering strong results and customer experience as we continue to expand our retail footprint through omni-channels and Samsung Experience Stores.
  • Operations: As the head of our SEA Retail Operations across all LOBs, this role is focused on driving organizational stability, scaling for growth, and driving a culture of performance and accountability.
  • Develop strategic and operational plans, managing execution, measuring and delivering results to meet or exceed our financial goals.
  • Innovation/Retail Experience: Lead the design and implementation of short and long-range strategies to deliver results, create sustainability and drive innovation within retail operations.
  • Results-Oriented: Develop strategies to achieve the short and long-term performance goals across revenue, operational KPIs, profitability targets, and customer satisfaction across all lines of the SEA Retail footprint.


Scope
  • Manage the operations and drive performance of Samsung's customer presence and Samsung owned retail stores
  • Build strong partnerships with the store operators and work to build collaborative strategies to drive top and bottom line performance
  • Set the strategic vision and objectives for Retail Stores and build actionable plans to achieve results
  • Manage and develop a high-performing organization to drive results
  • Create strong relationships with key internal and external executives
  • Proactively communicate updates and asks with leadership and key stakeholders
  • Develop initiatives and programs to drive customer traffic to stores
  • Work closely with finance to ensure accurate financial forecasts and inventory projections


Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • 20+ years in the Retailer space or relevant experience; specifically owning a P&L and serving as a key operator
  • Proven experience in strategic and organizational development, including the ability to attract, develop, and retain world-class talent.
  • Experience with multi-unit retail leadership responsibility, including remote team oversight and the ability to actively engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Track record of leader influencing people, processes, and technology choices in a manner that enriches the company's culture and overall team performance in a complex environment.
  • Highly adept and capable of building and maintaining trusting partnerships and relationships across the board with business unit leadership as well as with the company's external consumer, wholesale, retail and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to travel extensively
