System Administrator - Network

JOB SUMMARY:

The System Administrator is responsible for performing and coordinating the construction, maintenance, enhancement, and expansion of our organization's computer systems and applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee deployment and maintenance of computer systems and applications.
• Identify departmental needs and make suggestions regarding technical direction.
• Design and implement system security and data assurance in concert with Information Security directives.
• Configure all company systems application for other company organizations.
• Design and develop computer systems and application support.
• Test software applications and systems.
• Apply knowledge of computing systems and software structure.
• Analyze users' needs.
• Create flowcharts, diagrams, and other documentation.
• Create manuals and detailed sets of instructions including algorithms that tell computers what to do.
• Provide physical and virtual server installation and support.
• Monitoring the performance for the infrastructure and applications.
• Install and support VMWare and physical systems.
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems.
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, security
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
• On-premise Exchange 2016 support and administration.
• Active Directory - maintain and expand as required the AD 2019 domain.
• Monitor and maintain IT services to agreed levels and standards.
• SAN administration, network configuration, WLAN administration.
• Identify user needs.
• Manage Cloud.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Required: 4 year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field OR 6+ years' related experience.
• Required: At least 3 years working with VMWare 6.7+
• Required: 4+ years managing Windows servers in an enterprise environment.
• Required: 4+ years managing Linux (Ubuntu and Oracle distributions) servers in an enterprise environment.
• Required: 2+ years' experience with web servers, either MS IIS or Apache Tomcat or both.
• Required: Proficiency with Microsoft office tools, such as Word, Excel and Visio.
• Required: 2+ years' experience with enterprise backup, intranet and monitoring systems.
• Required: 2+ years' experience with DNS and DHCP, both internal and public.
• Preferred: Experience with Cisco UCS and Hyperflex deployments.
• Preferred: Experience with Cohesity backup and file share deployments.
• Preferred: Experience with the ManageEngine suite of management tools.
• Preferred: Experience with Certificate Authority systems and SSL Certificate management
• Preferred: Experience with managing, deploying and maintaining Microsoft SQL database systems
• Preferred: Experience with managing, deploying and maintaining Oracle database systems.
• Preferred: PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience
• Pluses: Experience in JBoss, Jeus, VB, Eclipse, Visual Studio 2008 or higher.
• Pluses: Microsoft or VMWare certifications
