Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a motivated IT Asset Management Administrator to lead and provide support for this essential job function. The Asset Management Administrator will be responsible for implementing strategies, policies, procedures, and technology solutions that enable NNL to maintain compliance with regulatory IT Asset Management requirements. This position requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and an ability to work effectively in collaborative teams; along with a strong understanding of asset management disciplines, and experience working in a fast-paced environment to ensure proper management of the full asset lifecycle. The selected candidate will provide regular detailed analysis and operational reports of existing asset management operations, integrate workflows across asset and property management systems, monitor asset data integrity within the IT Asset Management database and reconcile asset data discrepancies across systems.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. - Report and analyze asset data to ensure proper storage and equipment accountability
- Manage, maintain, and audit IT hardware inventory across multiple storage facilities
- Updates and administers asset databases, tracking full life cycle of all assets
- Assist with the planning for and logistics of IT hardware workflow activities across several locations
- Document and refine asset lifecycle processes
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IT Asset Management solutions such as Remedy, ServiceNow
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI Reporting
- Experience with network monitoring and discovery tools such as Computer Seeker, BigFix
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple teams to achieve a common goal
- Strong written and verbal skills
