Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This full-time role requires a professional with a strong background in system administration, specifically within a secure, high-stakes environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring our systems operate efficiently and securely, complying with stringent standards and protocols.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Systems Management: Oversee the operations and maintenance of applications on mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Cyber Security Management: Ensure compliance with Risk Management Frameworks, addressing vulnerabilities, and mitigating risks.
  • Data Management: Develop, deploy, and maintain systems for tracking and recording data inventory, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • ETL Services: Maintain and update ETL capabilities, including data ingestion, quality control, and compliance.
  • Splunk Administration: Develop Splunk dashboards, administer servers, and manage data onboarding processes.
  • Project Management: Assist in program planning, requirement assessment, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
  • Linux System Administration: Perform remote deployment, operation, and maintenance of Linux servers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate program progress, implement system changes, and conduct functionality testing.


Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in administering and maintaining Splunk Clusters.
  • Proven ability in creating and managing data pipelines for Splunk.
  • Strong background in system administration on enterprise networks.
  • Proficiency in Ansible, Cobbler/Foreman, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience in cloud environment deployment and system administration in a Linux multi-domain environment.


Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with the Sponsor's A&A process and cloud solutions.
  • Experience in Bash and Python scripting.
  • Knowledge of system health monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios).


Key Positions:

  • Splunk Application Lead: Oversee Splunk Cyber Security tools and Enterprise Security Splunk deployment.
  • Lead Cyber Security Project Manager/Architect: Manage cyber platform accreditation and risk assessment.
  • Lead Systems Engineer / Data Steward Support: Handle data onboarding, catalog management, and role-based access.
  • Lead Linux Operations and Maintenance System Administration: Ensure 24x7 runtime, scan compliance, and patching for all software and servers.
