Responsibilities:

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the daily management, maintenance, and support of our IT systems and networks, with a focus on administering SharePoint environments and identifying opportunities to streamline business processes. This role will also ensure compliance with relevant regulations, maintain data integrity, and support our cybersecurity posture. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who can build efficiencies and enhance system operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, manage, and monitor company servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Oversee and manage SharePoint environments, including site administration, user permissions, document management, and workflows.
  • Design and implement SharePoint-based solutions to improve team collaboration and streamline business processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify inefficiencies in workflows, proposing and implementing automation and process improvements through IT systems.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular backups, audits, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to IT systems, data handling, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement and enforce security policies, including firewalls, encryption, patch management, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient performance.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
  • Manage software licenses, updates, and system configurations to optimize performance and maintain security.
  • Monitor and respond to system alerts, identify potential vulnerabilities, and recommend security enhancements.
  • Provide support for IT-related issues and collaborate with the helpdesk team for escalated problems.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure continuity of knowledge across the team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience administering and managing SharePoint, including site configuration and user permissions.
  • Ability to design and implement SharePoint workflows and solutions that build efficiencies and support organizational goals.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server administration, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices, compliance, and data integrity management.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and techniques for improving workflow efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at desk.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard and tolerate prolonged periods performing work using a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
