Our Exciting Opportunity:
The Ericsson Radio Product Team is responsible for all aspects of development for the next generation of wireless base stations: systemization, design, integration, and verification of multi-standard radios to create new capabilities and satisfy customer needs.
If you are selected for this position, you will work as part of the Radio Product Systems and Integration team, which does hardware and software design and integrates them to validate the functionality and performance of new radio products.

In this Role you will:
  • Work in a tight collaborative group focused on designing, testing and troubleshooting new hardware/software Radios to ensure that the overall product can meet its functional and performance requirements
  • Lead taskforces and technical teams during the design and integration of radio products
  • Connect multiple digital & analog radio frequency (RF) designs into a product prototype
  • Be responsible for the functional and performance integration of new products
  • Develop calibration and performance optimization procedures
  • Define test coverage required for product integration
  • Implement test automation and validation methods using scripting in python or MATLAB
  • Analyze results, drive product design updates, identify potential system design shortcomings, and influence future designs
  • Perform statistical analysis of measurement data


To be successful in this internship you will need:
  • Master's degree in programs specialized in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience.
  • More than 10 years of experience designing/developing/integrating Radio Products
  • Experience with 3GPP standards
  • Leadership in understanding the complexities of Radio development and directing experienced RF engineers.
  • Strong troubleshooting acumen
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills (Python, C++ an asset)
  • Scripting skills in MATLAB are an asset
  • RF Engineering skills are an asset
  • Energy and drive to thrive in a dynamic product development environment
  • Proficient English skills, both written and spoken

Other useful skills:
  • Experience with lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
  • Proficient knowledge of wireless communication standards
  • Understanding of analog/digital hardware building blocks
