About the job you're considering
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Consumer Retail Technology System Engineer to join our Connect team. Connect Store System Engineers provide support for installation, software deployment, and Tier 3 (T3) sub teams by developing scripting to automate tasks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our retail technology applications, ensuring smooth operations for our clients in the restaurant industry.
Your role
  • Provide support for installation, software deployment, and T3 sub teams by developing scripting to automate tasks.
  • Triage failures and verify that endpoints have optimally installed the software based on compliance report before store opening on following day.
  • Provide technical support and supervise application performance, resolve technical issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Fix and resolve issues related to Point-of-Sale systems (POS), Mobile POS automation, DS and Back-office system process integration related to hardware and software.
  • Assist with the release, deployment, and rollout of new software versions or updates.
  • Support staging, installation, and provide L3 support for Tech Ops- related issues.
  • Address networking issues, including DHCP and DNS, IP, VPN.
Your skills and experience
  • Strong Windows and retail backgrounds
  • Hands-on experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware and system configuration.
  • Solid PowerShell experience for automation
  • Familiarity with other operating systems (Windows Server, Oracle, VMware), group policy and windows administrator.
  • Familiarity with networking principles related to POS systems (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, IP configurations).
  • Experience SCCM, PowerShell, and Windows Administration.
  • Familiarity with automated support management and tracking tools.
  • Experience in software deployment, networking, windows fixing and imaging process.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Simphony or related knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Git, Docker, Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, Datadog.
  • Other software / tools: CrowdStrike Falcon, Splunk.
