Description:

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a System Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position is contingent upon award.

The System Engineer will provide subject matter expertise to the C5ISR Center Headquarters and its subordinate directorate's directors, deputy directors and other high-level technical staff in supporting the Government's development of strategies and technical approaches for new Science & Technology (S&T) initiatives that optimize C5ISR Center's mission and promote C5ISR Center's technical portfolio and capabilities.

Duties:
  • Contribute to the planning and integration of research and exploratory development-based programs.
  • Provide specialized strategic management, analysis, and implementation tasks for C5ISR Center Headquarters and its subordinate directorates Strategic Planning processes and surveys.
  • Provide technological updated capability for existing operation business processes within the C5ISR Center.
  • Coordinate with government personnel on the System Engineering Life Cycle process for all new engineering projects. Based on the evaluation results, the contractor may be required to implement upgrades specific to security and the developing technologies related to threat detection.
  • Coordinate engineering services with Garrison Department of Public Works (DPW) and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Districts.
  • Have knowledge of the USACE construction and contract procedures with the ability to work within APG and JBMDL DPW organizations and have a thorough understanding of practices and procedures.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of requirements building, scheduling, shop drawings, contract procurement, and quality control reporting. Along with the ability to work with firms and construction contractors in developing design and executing construction projects.
  • Maintain necessary adjacencies, mission continuity and energy efficiencies.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience supporting large technical projects.
  • Experience with electronic design and implementation.
  • Experience with DoD developmental and operational testing policies, processes, and procedures.

Required Clearance:
  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Top Secret w/ SCI

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferred (Bachelor's degree required) in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Ten (10) years of experience required.

Travel:

Less than (Not less than) 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position will be co-located with the customer and other contractors in Government office spaces. This position may require visits to government facilities under renovation.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $142,400.00 - $193,200.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
